The ISCCC’s inaugural online public forum attracted 35 participants who heard presentations on:
1. The final report on the ISCCC’s online survey of inner south residents
2. Some key future priorities
3. Update on the proposed Fyshwick waste/recycling facilities

Inner south residents attending the ISCCC’s public forum on 8 October 2019 asked quite a few questions in response to presentations from the National Capital Authority CEO Sally Barnes, Climate Change Minister Shane Rattenbury, and ANU Forestry Professor Peter Kanowski about climate change, urban forest and other living infrastructure issues.…
Draft record of ISCCC/KBRG Public Forum on Kingston Arts Precinct and Dairy Road Update – 22 September 2019
Almost 100 people attended the ISCCC’s public forum on 11 June to hear presentations and have their say on planning for areas of intense urban infill, other strategic planning issues, housing initiatives, city services issues, and proposals for Fyshwick freight and waste facilities.
The ISCCC held a successful Politics at the Pub on 5 May at the Eastlake Football Club. 165-190 people attended.
The ISCCC’s public forum on 9 April was very successful, with about 60 participants providing their ideas, after discussion in breakout groups, about what they value about the area from Manuka to the Foreshore (loosely defined), and what opportunities and challenges they see ahead.
Presentations by ACT Government officials on a waste to energy policy (attached), and an update on the new bus network, attracted a range of questions from the audience.. There was support for source separation of waste streams such as Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO), and for composting and anaerobic digestion…
The ISCCC hosted a public forum with Planning Minister Mick Gentleman and Climate Change Minister Shane Rattenbury on 13 February 2018 to learn more about the ACT Government’s Housing Choices and Zero Net Emissions Strategy discussion papers.
