Yarralumla Brickworks and Environs Development: Public Meeting 7 July 2014

The ISCCC is holding an important meeting to discuss a very big proposed development in Yarralumla which could have impacts in the immediate vicinity and more broadly in the Inner South.  Please come along at 7pm on Monday, 7 July 2014 night to the Soccer Club in Deakin (3 Grose Street) to hear about the potential impacts.   This is not an anti-infill debate, but is about the necessary facilities and services to make it work well.

Of particular concern and interest are:

  • Traffic implications of almost 4,000 extra residents in a relatively small area trying to move out of Yarralumla and Deakin (probably mainly at peak hour).
  • The potential for similar infill along major transit routes.
  • The lack of reference to available facilities such as shops, schools, parking etc.
